Rifles You Have AP Ammo For?

A friend of mine thought the same thing about his hunting ammo in a 7 mag. He was wrong.

Good data to know; but what type of hunting round was he using? A softpoint or hollow point is going to penetrate less than FMJ.

The only steel core 5.56 I have is IMI with the true copper covered steel penetrator.

The 62gr IMI just has a tiny 4.2gr steel insert at the tip of the round. It doesn't have anywhere near the same steel content as something like 7.62x39 or 7.62x54 steel core.
