I need help in identifying this rimfire round I have.

The head stamp says: WATERBURY FARREL and FOUNDED 1851. It is cone shaped/concave in the center.

Bullet dia. is .357"
OACL is .7835"
Case length is .414"
Rim dia. is .405"

Thanks for any help.

Well, Waterbury Farrel is still in business making rolling mills and other tooling: http://www.waterburyfarrel.com/

My guess would be that the cartridge (and the other one you posted as well) is a 9mm Flobert. Both ball and shot cartridges were made in that caliber.

Flobert. ;)

You now know pretty much everything I do about the things. Flobert was a Belgian company that made single-shot rifles and shotguns in a variety of calibers, including 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 7mm, 8mm, and 9mm rimfire.

Thanks Ian.

And now... if only they were worth a $100 apiece eh gaudio5?
