Nemo Me Impune Lacessit
I have "Nemo Me Impune Lacessit" tattooed on my inner forearm. It's where I can read it, not the average passerby. It's part of a larger work that involves a primitive style arrow that goes the length of my inner arm with a banner that wraps around containing the words.
It's not quite as overt as "Molon Labe", but when people ask about it, I tell them what it's about. Every once in a while, I get a guy who reads latin that will ask me something lame like "so does that mean if I mess with you, you'll kill me?", but for the most part it just goes over people's heads.
Archery and bowhunting are lifelong pursuits for me. During battles in the middle ages when archers were still employed, the loosing of an arrow meant that all the negotiating was over and it was time to fight. The banner, sprouting from the tip of the arrow, has an obvious connection to the symbolism as a convergence of words and action.
