Hello all,
I picked up a Remington RM380 new in January. I've put ~300rnds through it and have found that it is rather picky about feeding steel cased ammunition. It will feed brass cases without an issue but it will either fail to feed or fail to go completely into battery every other round with steel cased. I've picked up a few 200rnd packs of Monarch 94gr. FMJ from Academy and am a bit disappointed that the RM380 is choking on it. My Bersa Thunder and Kel-tec P3AT have no issue with the loading.

Those of you who own a RM380, are you experiencing any similar issues with steel cased ammo?

I don't even own any steel cased ammo in 380 ACP but I can tell you I've put hundreds and hundreds of brass cased ammo through my RM380 and have yet to experience a failure to feed, failure to eject, failure to fire or failure to go into battery. I may have shot a hundred rounds of ammunition with nickel plated brass and haven't had any problems with it either.

I put about 40 rds of Monarch 380 ACP 94gr FMJ steel-cased through my RM380 last weekend no malfunctions and I was surprised how snappy it was. A bit more oomph than the 95gr FMJ American Eagle brass-cases ammo I have used in the past. I got a good deal on the ammo at Acadamy and would buy more.
