If it helps, my velocities would be what can be achieved out of a 16" bolt gun suppressed. I'm thinking the 69gr's might be more suitable as they would give more velocity at intended ranges to open up on coyotes or the like over the 75gr.

I would assume my velocities would be in the neighborhood of whats posted below

69gr between 2,600-2,700fps
75gr between 2,525-2,625fps

I had a PM conversation with Jake over a year ago on his 69gr HPBT. He told me that these are designed to expand like the GK's. My testing is the accuracy is close to the SGK than the SMK's. The profile is very similar so you may not need to adj your seating die if your loading Sierra's. I have not played with the 75 grs.

Thanks for your reply. So I take it you have not had an experience with them on game?

Good to know the accuracy you saw is more indicative of SGK than SMK's.

Right. I'm down to my last 5 rounds of SGK's and then I start with the RMR's. I know the SGK will do a big number on hogs <100 lbs. It goes in small and comes out big. I normally do nerves system hits on hogs. Nice thing about a AR15 is that you can rip a bunch of rounds in short period of time. When there 1 sow and 10 little ones running around, it works fine. My first shot is to drop the sow, which it will do if placed in the right place. then you have a scramble shooting a smaller ones. When only big ones, I get out my big gun, 458 SOCOM. About the max number I can get off with it, is 3. But I try to line them on the first shot. Dropping 2 at a times makes it easier. Luckily have not seen any in months. Only foxes, bobcat, coyotes, coons, skunks, possums, armadillos and a few deer.

Well, We've tested them on tons of ground squirrels here in Idaho. They aren't as explosive as a vmax or nosler ballistic tip. They do kill better than fmj though. I've had customers send me lots of videos of pigs and coyotes being taken with them. They do the job for sure. We did some gel tests at 100 yards side by side with the SMK. Ours opens up/fragments about two inchest before the SMK does but has similar penetration.

Thanks Jake, that is what I was looking for.

Is the bullet similar in length to the 69gr SMK? Just wondering on how the load data for the 69 SMK would work for RMR's 69gr.

I don't want to derail the thread but does RMR have a storefront in Lewiston? I go through Lewiston occasionally and could stock up when I do, if you do.

I load the rmr 69gr HP to about 2,950fps for my rifle with leverevolution and they definitely open up.
I guess I could load up a few with a start load of H322 and have them hit probably closer to 2,200fps and see what they do.
To load the rmr 69gr HP I started with Sierra 69gr HP data, when I was going by the book then used cfe223 load data to give me an idea of where to start with using leverevolution.

RMR doesn't have a store front, but we do allow people to come in and check out the shop and buy stuff. We just ask that if you want any discounts to bring cash. The only way we have to take cards is through the website so if we have to use a card you get website prices.

The 69 is nearly identical in length to the SMK. I use the 69 SMK data and score hits out to 900 yards. Haven't tried past that yet.

Gotcha. Cash is king.

Thanks for responding!
