ROA Liberty model

Today of all days, July 4th I had a buddy over to look at my roof. I asked him if he still had his ROA and yes he did and yes he needed to sell it. He was asking $350 with a nice holster so I bought it. It's in really nice shape and I noticed it was the Liberty model and with the luck of the Irish I bought it today. He say's it shoots high so I'll probably need a higher front sight. Anyone know where I can get one? I also need a nipple wrench.

Is the front sight on the Liberty model pinned on like the later ROA models are?

This thread below describes a possible solution by shimming the rear sight blade down, or to obtain a higher sight from either Ruger or Bowen Classic Arms which offers both a higher pinned or sweat on front sight for Rugers:

Yes the front sight is pinned on. The owner told me it shot high. I think I'll try and file down the rear sight first.

The thread didn't describe filing it but rather shimming it with a washer under the adjustment screw. It was said that the sight blade could be pushed down 1/16th of an inch further than the adjustment screw would allow.
