Which is a better press I have used rock chuckers as well as lees anniversay press but I heard the classic cast is as good as a rock chucker. Well what do you think
The difference between these two is negligible in function. The rock chucker im sure has a slight better finish plus the advantage of the conversions available to make it into a turret or progressive.
coincidence I have both mounted in tandem on my bench. the Lee is easier to use but that Chucker - man - if it has to be formed, that's the one to use.
I think the Lee Classic Cast has a better method of disposing of spent primers. Plus the Lee is made in America. Both are what used to be termed "hell for strong."
I'd go with the Lee classic cast all the way. Check out the reviews of it at Midwayusa [ http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=317831 ] 53 reviews and all but one (which is a four) are five star. It looks like its one fine built press. Lee has great customer service JIC anything does go wrong, which I doubt will happen with the CC press. Now look at the review of the RCBS rock chucker supreme [http://www.midwayusa.com/viewProduct/?productNumber=513567 ] Many more are satisfied with the Lee than the RCBS.
Have read that Lee Classic Cast is made from recycled railroad steel rails. This is wear resistant, high tensile strength steel and helped me decide to buy the LCC. Worked well so far.
