I just yesterday bought a Roger's & Spencer .44 revolver made by Euroarms in the mid to late 70s. I'll post pics as soon as it arrives but I wondered if anyone might be able to offer a little insight. I know that a number were sold to the US military at the end of the Civil War though none of those guns were actually issued to field troops. They apparantly just sat in storage until 1901.However there were also civilian Rogers & Spencer revolvers and that's where my question lies; can anyone provide any history about where they were used, when and by whom ? For instance did any Rogers & Spencer revolvers make it to the Western frontier ?
