I am looking to replace the front sight on my S&W 22-4 and need a roll pin (I am actually putting a factory original sight back on, replacing an aftermarket sight). I have contacted S&W and they are sending me the correct sight. They are however out of the roll pins. They gave me the size but I don't know where to look to get them. They couldn't give me a source either. Any help would be appreciated.

The roll pin size per Smith is: .0595 diameter X .240 long

Just reuse the old one you take out.
They are good for more then one use.

Other then that, any decent hardware store has a roll pin assortment in a steel drawer case.
You can probably find in there that will work there.

McMaster Carr lists this: http://www.mcmaster.com/#roll-pins/=hdjwzh

Part no 91610A108 for stainless, $6.81 for 25

-or-

Part No. 91611A081 in carbon steel, $8.26 for 100

That's 1.5mmx6mm which translates to 0.591" x 0.236" which would probably be close enough, as they measure slightly oversized for tight fit.

They don't list inch-size pins that small.

And make sure you use the correct punch so you do not flare the end of the roll pin as you drive it.

A friend has bought small numbers of roll pins from Fastenal.
If they have an office near you, they will have or get what you want and not much money.
