Can Anyone Tell Me Where I Might Find Parts For A Rossi .22 Pump Action Rifle. It Is Not One That Was Imported By Braz Tec. It Was Imported By Garcia, Which Is Out Of Buissiness. Someone Told Me That A Winchester Modle 62a Had Same Parts Can Anyone Verify This. What I Need Is The carrier Or A Complete Carrier Assembly.

A carrier from an 1890, 1906, 62, or 62A might work, but I don't know that for sure.

I have one of each in complete rifles, and a spare 1906 action for parts, but I would have to tear them apart to do any meaningful measuring.

Used to be a ton of them on Ebay all the time, up until they banned gun parts last month.

Don't know what to tell you about finding one now, other then gunshows.

BTW: What's wrong with the one you have?
The Winchester ones take about 150 years of very hard use to wear one out to where they can't be easily fixed.

rcmodle,

the top part of the carrier is broken, and it allows the shell to slide over it and ends up behind the carrier. when i disassembled the gun there was a shell there, it was beaten up pretty bad (very dangerous), i don't know how this guy broke it, i agree, it should last forever. i'm still trying to find out if the winchester carrier will work.
thanks,

bryan

One of the reasons why the 1890/06/62 series are so expensive was due to the fact that they needed a considerable amount of hand fitting.

I imagine that Taurus/Rossi still do the same, just with lower manpower costs, and that the repair of this rifle is going to be a bit pricey.

Thank You Rcmodle,

I Was Able To Find The Part At A Local Gunsmith's Shop. He Just Gave Me A Stripped Down Carrier.

Thanks For All Of Your Help. I Copied Two Ponies Address For Uture Parts Needs.,

Thanks
Bryan

Rc Model,

Yes The Part Did Work, But It Was From The Same Gun. So I Still Don't Know If The Winchester Part Would Have Worked. I'm Just Glad To Get It Out Working Good. The Part Was "free". I Made $65.00 To Install And Clean Gun.

Thanks
Bryan
