Guys,

I have a Rossi octogon barrel .22 pump rifle in .22 lr.

Very nice condition, excellent stock fit. Very little use.

So if I was to sell it for a fair price what should I ask?

Thanks,

I have an interest in a 22 pump, and the old winchesters are too expensive.

If your price isn't too bad, we may be able to work something out.

How is the blueing, and how does it function?

Do you still have the box?

Where are you located?

When I was a kid we had a 62. I grew up with it and am very familiar with them.

This octagonal Rossi is exactly like the Winchester. Mine has no safety and was made before Taurus got the firm (I hate those safeties!)

Function is perfect with a variety of ammo. I shot Remington Golden bullets, Federal, CCI, and Winchester. Ejection is strong and positive.

The pump is slick and easy to pump and the trigger pull is fine (the trigger is serrated, while Winchesters are smooth faced.)

Blue is quite good but not up to Winchesters standards (well it is a Rossi and not a Winchester, right?) No blue loss for wear. Shot maybe 100 rounds.

Quite accurate. Real good wood fitting (actually it's wood is better than a Winchester!)

The ONLY thing missing is the little elevator that fits under the rear sight. I don't know what happened to it. Happily the gun shoots dead on without it!

i had one, my sone f'd it up, i wish i still had it, but i've got so many 22 rifles, it would just sit and collect dust, i paid 225 for mine back in 96, i'd ask 250 and the shipping, you can always come down on a good offer but it's hard to go up

I cannot pm you for whatever reason, but if you are looking for an amount around where they have been discussing, i think we may be able to make a deal if you like.

I was still wondering if you had the original box though, and where approximately you live, lmk.

I own one and carry it on my trap line. Purchased it at a garage sale for $75. Its probably one of the most fun .22's I own and hands down my most accurate off-hand. We shoot water bottles at 100 yards with it. I didn't pay much for it but I sure would not sell it.

I got one but with a round barrel recently from a gun store that was on consignment. I didn't know what it was so I came home after seeing it and looked up the reviews online. I called the store the next morning and paid the $240 asking price over the phone without any quibbles. The one I got was in like new condition.

As reported by jbkebert it's an amazing gun for smoothness of cycling and accuracy. I still have no idea if I paid too much or got a deal. But I don't care because it's proven itself to be easily worth the $240 I paid for it.

Yours looks to be in very nice shape. And on top of that the octagonal barrel should bring a slight premium. If it's near or like new as the pictures suggest I'd start at $280. As said you can always come down a little.

You might check the Gunbroker sight to see ehat they sell for. No longer in production and prices have been climbing . I have seen them sell recently on GB for the $200 to $250 money on the round barrel versions. The octagon barrel should be a + as well as if you have the box .

The Taurus versions may have the safety that some don't like ,but they also bring more money .

What ever number I started at, I wouldn't let it go for less than $275, were it a particularly sweet example.

Guys,

My PM should work fine (I just checked.)

No I don't have the box.

GunsAmerica did have one sold for over $400 (octagonal barrel version.)

I'd be happy with $275, and the buyer pays shipping and any FFL fees. I have a FFL dealer who will ship to your FFL dealer and I have a box I can send it in (actually a cheap plastic rifle case with foam inside and then we box it over to ship. And you can keep the case.)

I live in Texas! Born and raised here.

If interested just PM me again.
