I keep a fairly detailed log of my firearms and I tallied up the 2007 round count.
The grand number was 8,724 (Yeah I admit it, fully 50% of that was .22LR). Now I know that's peanuts to some but for me that's actually a lot of shooting!

Gosh I can't wait until we get into a new house so I can start reloading! :D

Ya beat me. I had 8220, most of which (6400) was my 1911. Thinking about getting into reloading too; I'll bet that steps things up a little. :)

I don't keep a log of what I shoot, but I'd guess this:

1,800 .223 (I know I shot over 1,000 in two days at SigArms Academy)
1,000 .45 I've gone through the two 500 round cases I bought.
800 .40SW less of this and more .45 this year.
200 9mm don't shoot the Kahr or 9mm AR much.
500 .22 Mainly in a .22 conversion for the 1911.

4300 total. I intend to thoroughly surpass that mark this year. I've already shot about 500 rounds so far this year. I also plan to attend at least two shooting courses which will increase my consumption rapidly.

1875 12 gauge
600 .22lr
1200 9mm.
40 7.62x54r
25 45-70
50 .357mag

So, all told, in the neighborhood of 2710. But I didn't shoot anything the first seven months of the year--didn't have a range locally.

I shot up about what you guys have posted. Didn't keep an exact count. Like ZeSpectre about 1/2 of mine was 22.

I ended up with rounds on hand going up bigtime last year. This year I'm going to have to achieve balance.

If I shoot belt fed stuff at a FBMG shoot, does that count?:D

I need to get out more. Somewhere in the 3500 range with about 2000 of that being .22LR.

But is a new year so hopefully I get out a little more often.

48 M1 garand
44 .45 1911
44 .308 savage
6 .500 S&W
10 .22
2 12 guage
67 .223

221 total for civilian weapons

50 M4 5.56mm
30 M9 9mm
200 M240B 7.62mm
200 M249 5.56mm
32 MK19 40mm(HEDP)
250 M2 .50

for a grand total of 983 rounds. I plan on shooting much much more this year. at least 2K probably closer to 3K or more.

9mm - 1100 rounds
.45 ACP - 250 rounds (sold my 1911 early in the year)
.38 Spl - 350 rounds
.223 - 120 rounds (I know, I know)
7.62x39 - At least 500, don't know for sure
12 GA - 300 trap loads
.30-'06 - 60 rounds... unfortunately, none were aimed at a buck.

I think I'll try to keep a log this year. So far I've shot 10 rounds through my M1 Garand. Really blazing away...:(
I went to the range with my sons and my grandson...so I spent my time watching a four yr. old. :D He likes to go with us so we make it a piont to get him in the truck.

Mark.

I keep a good log on what I shoot. The count for '07:

9mm: 5608
.45: 1600
.22lr: 2400
12ga: 220
20ga: 150

Total of 9,978. If my math is right I think I'm winning at the moment :)

I like my .22, but I don't think enough to shoot 20 value pack boxes. Granted it is cheap and easy on the wallet.

.40S&W 0 Rnds Fired (was to friggin cold when I got the thing)

Rounds on hand ATM

36 Rounds 180GR Federal JHP Hydra Shock
250 Rounds 180GR FMJ WWB
250 Rounds 180GR FMJ UMC Bulk box
1000 Rounds 180GR FMJ Reman

1536 Rounds total on hand.

Hoping it warms up a little this weekend so I can go test some Target Stands I just Made Today. :D

So far I think I'd win this one (of the current posters above me). I reload, so I shoot a lot.....

A slow month for me is 1000 rounds. A really good one, 2000. So lets average it and say 1500.

12 X 1500 = 18000.

I got just over 3,000 in my WASR 10, around 1500 .22s, just a few hundred .223, 300 7.5x55 swiss, I have no idea how many shotgun shells.

5020 for me

75% .45 ACP
25% various centerfire rifles and shotgun slugs.

I guess I need to make the spreadsheet break it down by caliber by year .. haven't done that yet. Here's my totals for the last 3 years of reloading:

Grand Total: 12970

2005 Total: 2700
2006 Total: 5250
2007 Total: 5020

.223 Rem: 1600
.45 ACP: 8400
.45 LC 800
45/70 400
.50 S&W 750
.303 British 100
.357 Magnum 300
.308 Win 240
12 Gauge 280
30-06 100
8mm Mauser 0
7.62 x 54R 0

# of 50 Round Boxes: 259
Savings at $5 per box: 1297

PS - Sorry for the garbled post ..can't figure out how to put excel data into a post.

I don't know, 2 short range visits, maybe 500 or 600 rounds. Could have been one visit now that I think about it, I don't remember if the other one was 12/06 or 1/07.

It was a hectic year getting my parents settled into nursing and assisted living and selling their home after moving in with them for 5 weeks to keep house and drive them to appointments. Throw in 3 major surgeries and the year zipped by.

This year has gotten off to a better start.

John

Not nearly as many as I would have liked. My boys and I put about 140 rounds of 30-06 down range, 5 or 6 boxes 12 ga, about the same 20ga, about 100 rounds of 308, 1000+ rounds of 9mm and about 2500 .22's. A couple of boxes of .45LC (100+ rounds), and another 2 boxes of .38 spcls (100 rounds).

For a total of between 3500 and 4000 rounds.

Estimates:

150 .45 ACP
50 .40S&W
1500 9mm

And that's all from November-December, as I didn't shoot all that year because I was in the process of moving to CA and taking care of my handgun took a bit longer than I had expected. Didn't want to risk an infraction, so just sat on my hands for a looooong time until I finally got the paperwork back saying it was ok.

Probably between 1500 and 2000, with most of it being .22 with a fair amount of 12 and 20 gauge mixed in. Not much by most people's standards, but it beats how much I shot the year before. Here's hoping this upward trend continues through 2008.

6,500 - 12 Gauge - Never take up Sporting Clays - its expensive and addicting
4,200 - 20 Gauge - 3 days of Dove huntng in Argentina - also expensive
2,000 - 40 S&W
350 - .380 auto - ouch
900 - .223 - lots more planned for this year
40 - .243
500 - .22 lr
100 - .22 shorts

2008 will get a fair amount of 30-06 as soon as the Fed-Ex guy brings my new toy from CMP.
