Rra 308 & Gsg-5

Was at York PA Gunshow, and saw first RRA 308. Was ready to buy until I saw the magazine release. What a disappointment. Instead of the familar side button it had a two winged L shaped release on the bottom of the magazine well. It didn't look good and going through brush or catching on clothing etc. would dump your magazine quick. So I am back to DPMS. I also saw a GSG-5 and WOW had to have it. I am fondling it now and I hope it shoots as good as it looks. If anyone else has one please let me know how you are making out and what brand of 22's are shooting the best.

That does sound weird/stupid.

Go with an LR-308, you won't be disappointed.

The RRA uses a FAL mag, so it has the different FAL-style release which many prefer to the AR15 style release. The nice thing about that bolt release is that it is truly ambidextrous and you can hit it with your trigger finger without shifting your grip or using your off hand.

I have read a few dissapointing reviews of the GSG-5. First 200 rds. were flawless, then problems started. Extractor spring falling out or something like that. Then there are those that report over 1000 rds with no problems.
