After reading, asking questions, & studying this thread, ( I printed out 3 pics from it as a guide), I decided to ramp the bolt on my RRA 9MM. I was feeling froggy this morning so I set up in the shed and went to work. I used a dremel, a somewhat steady hand, and two different grit wheels to cut 95% of the ramp. Then I went to work by hand with 100, 220, & 320 grit sandpaper using a thin narrow file to back it up. I put a slight bevel on the edge to help the hammer get over it smoothly and polished it up a bit. I went to 400 grit on the bevel. I ended up at .068 deep at the leading edge.

I am happy with how it turned out. Now I need to install a different hammer in my lower, although I am going to try it with the 9MM hammer first, just to see how it does. I have a DPMS hammer to put in it, but may get a 2 stage RRA because I like the 2 stage triggers and it just gives a better overall trigger pull. AC

Update

I put a stock RRA hammer/spring, trigger/spring, & disconnector/spring in my RRA and went to the range. It ran 100%, just as it did when it was stock. I ran about 100 rounds through it just as I did the first time out. AC

You can see the mark where the hammer rode the ramp. I have a little work to do to get it centered, but it should be no problem. Heck, it would probably do fine as is, but I want to get it more centered and with more bearing surface.
