So in looking at the box, it mentions .223, but the receiver is marked 5.56mm on the left hand side. I have heard some of their guns are .223 only and should not be fed NATO 5.56. Short of calling RRA, is there any way to get a warm fuzzy if NATO ball is ok to fire through it?

Is .223 ok to fire in all of them?

It has the Chrome lined Heavy Barrel FYI.

The only owners manual they gave me is a reprint of the US Army TM for the M4

They call it ".223 Wylde." It's a hybrid. You can shoot any 5.56 or .223 in it.

call them.

however, my understanding is that their 20" SS barrels have a wylde chamber (usually mentioned in their adverts) and their 16" barrels are 5.56

Wylde is what you want for sure, and I'd not be surprised if that's what you had.

And, receiver markings don't matter at all, the barrel is the one that you care about. Look under the handguards.
