I've decided to get into knife-fight training and I am seeking for a good rubber knives. Which one's are good ones? And if someone can give me a link to some good online-shop that also ships to Europe I'd be thankful.
Thanks.

I have an Applegate-Fairbairn trainer that I like. The Cold Steel rubber knives aren't bad at all either.

Hey Ocelot777, thanks a lot, lad:) A pair of knives would be useful, maybe I'll get my wife into it, she handles a sword quite well

Ditto on cold steel... but it really depends on what kind of training/knife fighting you're doing. If you plan to practice any binds, disarms, or other things that might require a stiff blade, there's some decent aluminum blunt trainers out there as well- those are a good option for that, and better than the wood 'knives' we used to use in my martial arts classes back in college.

I am a loyal follower of Applegates teachings and knife designs, but when I was in high school I couldn't justify 20 bucks + shipping for the rubber trainers, so I made my own out of oak in the woodshop. They work fine and clearly feel and look like A-F daggers. I made them 5 years ago, and still train with them occasionaly. They have very blunt tips, but being wood, hard force on force training with them would be dangerous, but for casual practice with friends they work great.

Yup. I've still got a scar on my right ear from about 8 years ago, when I should have been quicker on my feet. Thought the guy had sliced it off, at the time. Wearing full ear defenders the next day at college wasn't fun, either (nor was trying to explain tanto randori to a bus-load of unsympathetic arboriculturists, having fun at my expense... Live and learn -- next time I'll make up a more plausible story).

I think wooden knives are good for kata and drills, just not for randori. Since it was just my ear, I could just laugh it off and continue (don't have very sensitive ears, for some reason), but if it had been my eye...:uhoh:
