I mounted one of the Cabela's rimfire scopes on my 10/22 and due to the height of the scope rings (I bought the shortest ones I could find) I can no longer get a good cheek weld when shooting. Are you guys using any specific risers to remedy this problem?

I use strap on cheek rests on a few of my rifles. As is they give a little boost, but it's also possible to put some padding underneath to raise them up even more.

Here's a nice one at Midway on sale for only $16:

I have a Hornady one that I bought simply because it was on sale. I didn't know if I'd ever use it, then I tried it. Very nice! It's nicely made, is REALLY adjustable, it has 5 slots for cartridges and a zipper pocket on the off-side. I thought it would be kind of hokey, but hey, it works great when you want it on there. Easy on/off, Velcro adjustments and the cheek pad itself appears to be some kind of fake, soft leather. I like it! It fits anything I've tried it on, including a good old .30-30 carbine stock.
