Has anyone shot the Ruger 10/22 take-down? I was wondering how accurate it is. I would love to get one with the threaded barrel to use with a suppressor.

I have one and have been very pleased with the accuracy. From one I have read the gun seems to be developing a reputation for being particualy good in that regard.

I also have one....I bought it to stow on board my aircraft as part of my "kit" when flying cross country.....it will replace an AR-7 that I have used in that role for the past 30 years.
I shot my ruger at 50 yds, from a rest with Leupold optics on it, to see if groups shifted after takedown/reassembly.....they did not....and the rifle grouped 5 rds into just a bit over 1/2" groups.....that's certainly good enough for me....I plan on using it with iron sights, but it was fun to see what it could do....I have shot several brands through it without any F2F's.
Stow that with a couple of 100 rd ammo pac's and a couple of Ruger mag's, and we are good to go.

I love that idea! Mine shoots really great with the can and without the can.

Not great pics. Sorry

Excellent! Thank you all for the replies. Now I just have to find one reasonably priced. I would like to take it to my boat on weekends. I love the concept of the whole package, and accurate to boot!

I have one also, put mine in an AGP folding stock and added Tech sites, great gun, one of my favorites right now, very accurate and fun to shoot

Tim;

I have one also. However, I really can't speak to the accuracy of it. I took it to our local range & then the fun began. The 25 yard target backers were down, so the initial sight-in was at 50 yards. And I got it on paper, eventually. The group sizes were not really relevant to accuracy though. You see, the wind was blowing a bit, to the point that the target backers were moving. I haven't gotten it out since, but I expect that the groups will improve some. How much of a "some" is still up in the air as it were.

That was bad of me, wasn't it?

i've been thoroughly happy with mine. i added tech sights, and shooting from a bench with a front bag, i can hold sub 1" groups with the irons.
