Are you kidding? Your rights as listed under the Constitution of the United States of America are trampled, you do know this, right? Well, as long as you're happy with your pizza pies and such as an equitable trade for your rights, more power to ya. However, when I hear residents of places that complain about magazine capacity restrictions, waiting periods, existing AWB laws that are still in effect, "may issue" CCW permits, FOID cards and the like yet refuse to leave there, it completely baffles me. Hey, I turned down a pretty decent paying job a couple years ago simply because it was in California and I refuse to relocate to an area where I would be treated like a Jew in Nazi Germany by the local government. Glad some of you all can live like this but it will NEVER be for me!!!

You may not think much of my motivations for living where I do, but there's a lot more to NYC than pizza. There's also a huge gap between magazine restrictions and being "treated like a Jew in Nazi Germany," and using that kind of rhetoric makes it difficult to take your position seriously.

If gun ownership is the most important thing in your life, I'm glad to hear you live in a state that caters to the things you find most important. There are things that are more important to me than having a ten-round magazine, things which NYC caters to, and as a result I'm willing to work a little bit harder to participate in this hobby.

A thought for the "just move" crowd: Those of us living in New York City, California, Illinois, DC and the like are the very ones at the front lines of the gun control issue. If you oppose these infringements (and don't wish to see them ever come your way) why encourage us to walk away? I recognize that Grunt was referring specifically to people who simply "complain about" these regulations, and I get that, but please keep in mind that many here are fighting those regulations. Anyway, just a thought...

The rules for longarms aren't actually that onerous, unless you're used to living in a place where there aren't any rules.

There are "rules" in every state of the union regarding purchasing new firearms. These would be the FEDERAL gun laws every state must follow. The rest of your "non-onerous" laws are what your state legislature decided to put in place.

As for the people asking why we'd stay in NYC, the answer is simple: It's the best city in the world. I'll take dealing with obnoxious gun laws if it means I live here :D

Fine, then don't complain about them.

I'm pretty interested in the 10/22 take down as well. I'd like to hear how well they hold up, I have a regular one and it's pretty nice.

True story: I dropped a full 25 round magazine on the ground, every round jumped the rim - I should have waited until I got home and just taken it apart because it took me almost 10 minutes to empty it so I could load it again.

Honestly, though, if I were limited to 5 round magazines I'd just get a bolt action. My grandma's single shot was pretty fun; Rossi makes a nice cheap take down single shot.

Why the TD instead of the full?

Because I like being able to carry it in a bag... you don't really lose much, but you gain portability. It's just what i'd rather have
