Tonight my brother gave my our fathers 357 Ruger Blackhawk with 6 1/2 in bbl. Its a 3 screw type and no my father didn't have tranfer bar installed. He knew how to load and carry a SA and so do I. I would say its 90% and serial number says made 1971 according to Ruger web site. Also have the box Any idea of value,

He also gave me a Box of 38 spl Super Vel 110gr. Box is like nex but when I opened was all 357 rounds. Their are a several Super Vel 357 in the mix guess will put them with the few 45 auto Super Vel I have.

OMBH price

You might want to go over to www.Rugerforum.com and check. Yell for either Weaslemeatgravy or flatgate. From the sounds of it though, since it's not a flattop, I'd say $300-400 even with the proper box.

The top of the strap around the rear sight is flat as opposed to being raised up a bit to protect the sight.

Here are flat-tops:

Here are non flat-tops:

And we also have flat-gate flat-tops which are very early flat-tops with a flat vs. rounded loading gates. And non flat-tops that are either 3 screws or 2 pins...
