Last summer I bought a used 77/22 in the stainless/black synthetic stock. Gun was in great shape and it hardly appeared used except for the the stock which was (is) dirty. I'm talking schmutz between the "RUGER" stamped in the butt of the stock, around the palm swell and front rubber gripping area (where checkering would be on a wood stock), etc. It's not major-league nasty, but it needs a cleaning.

Any ideas on how to clean this up and what to use to get it back to like-new condition?

Pull the action, and use a stiff nylon brush, soap and water. You might try Armor-all to shine it up, but try a small area first, as it might make the stock too slick.
