Any info would be appriciated. Right now, I am tagging pidgeons with super colibri, but once out of the city will use it as a training/small varmint tool to practice with. So, that being said - there are a lot of scope options for a 22. out there. They range in price from 30 - 200 dollars. All I really want is something that has finger adjustable turrets, and works well. I would prefer to not spend over $150. BONUS QUESTION - if anyone knows where to get an "adult" stock for the 77/22 please let me know. THANK YOU!

My favorites are as follows: Weaver 2.5-7x Rimfire (about $140), Weaver 3-9x AO Rimfire (about $220), Mueller APV 4.5-14x AO Rimfire (about $120). The Weaver scopes are quite good. I prefer them to Leupolds, but I like the slightly heavier duplex reticle. Sportsmans Guide and Midway sells the Mueller and Midway sells the Weavers. I'm sure you can find them elsewhere.

all those and check out bushnell trophy for a lower cost optic that is very worth the money. Nikko Stirling is also worth checking out.

Seldomseensmith;

I have owned a 77/22, got it when they first came out. It took thousands of rounds for the trigger to work in to acceptable, but I learned a lot in the meantime.

One of the things I learned is that a scope with A/O is an advantage with a gun that can shoot accurately to 125 yards. Centerfire rifle scopes usually have the parallax set at 150 yards & most .22 scopes have it set at 50 yards. Being able to adjust it yourself pays dividends.

The scope I finally settled on was a Simmons Whitetail Classic 4-12X A/O. Paid about $125.00 for it, shipping included from Midway, back when. The gun's gone now, and more's the pity, but I don't see why the advice still doesn't hold true.

You don't have to spend mega-bucks, just spend them wisely.

I would recommend a fixed 4X weaver or leupold. Just not a better rifle/scope combination available for that gun.
