Ruger AR, any reason not to?

Ya know, by getting rid of that boat you lose credibility when explaining that you “lost all your guns in a boating accident.” ;)

I've seen the Ruger AR's going for $500 or less new in the not too distant past. As far as the quality of the gun, they are fine. Ruger products generally work like they are supposed to, in my experience.

When I was a child my father, his four brothers and his sister’s husband all had jon boats with small 10-12 HP motors. It’s too late to ask now but I wonder why everyone’s boat was a jon. My father’s family was from the cajun area of Texas right on the coast and a few miles from the Louisiana state line. Somewhere in the previous sentence lies the answer to my question I’m sure.

I’m not familiar with the MPR but believe the 556 is an excellent rifle. Non mil PRC doesn’t matter to me one way or the other.

I also know OP has already made the trade.
