I have been searching the internet for a new front sight for my Ruger .45. The front sight on the revolver seems to disappear with the background. I am looking for something with a high visibility but either the company I find discontinued the sight or they are non existent. Any help would be appreciated.

If the front sight is pinned you can buy a Hi-Viz front sight for it, I put those on all of them, it's a fairly easy install. If it's blued, just put some white paint on the top of the blade.

Bowen classic arms has Ruger sights from pin-in to full blown custom barrel bands.

You could try them out to gauge the items available and the costs associated with your quest.

If money is tight you could try the white Testors paint, let dry, then blaze orange Testors paint trick. It’s applied with a tiny brush or toothpick. I’ve done this on all of my smaller fixed sight revolvers and most of my small autos to help me see the front sight better.

(If you’re hunting during fall foliage season with a lot of orange leaves lime green can work, too,)

Stay safe.
