I recently purchased a Ruger New Model Blackhawk from a friend. The serial number indicates manufacture between 1990-1991. In December 1991 a previous owner had it finished with a product listed as ENLON. It looks like a light pewter finish, but I can't find anything about it. Has anyone on the forum ever heard of it? I would appreciate any comments you might have.

Not so much. Kind of blends in with the rest of the sight. Hopefully it'll stay put. I'd hate to have to replace it or the sight due to the plating issue.

Yes, there are two sorts. The ones cut from a sheet of plastic to a dovetail shape, driven into place, and trimmed to the width of the blade. And the ones molded in place. Neither requires any metalwork.

Thanks for the replies! I bought it as a shooter. It came with a 9mm cylinder and I reload for both calibers, so it ought to be a fun gun to plink around with.
