ruger for ccw/defense

Speed sixes with a 2 1/2 or 3 in barrel around here have been going for 650 and up. It seems the price on discontinued guns has inflated so much that new ones seem to be the only way to go anymore.

The SP101 is one of those American standards of great quality at a decent price. It is everything you would ever need in a revolver.

The GP100 is way to big for ccw. Both the speed and security six might work if you can conceal it well. The sp101 is pretty much made for ccw.

I have never seen one used. I have been looking for an SP for quite some time. I just cant catch one in the used counter

The GP-100 is a heavy revolver. If I was forced to pick just one for, it would be a SP101.

If I were into Ruger revolvers for CCW, it would be the SP101.
