Ruger Government and GB Minis

I am just curious…
Does Ruger still make the AC-556 for LE use? And, do they still make the GB models. I was under the impression that they stopped when the Ranch Rifle models started to come out. Does anyone have a short history they can give me? I am just curious....

Yes, the GB model is still made in the newer Ranch Rifle configuration. There is no bayonet lug, but there is a flash hider, and they were quietly being sold with 20-round magazines all along.

i got a few 20's for my mini, its not a GB though... and those dang mags were expensive as all get out!

By the way, whats up with the "for government use only" Markings on them??
does anyone know if the new ones that are shipping with the 20 rounders have that stamped on the side?

Probably the same thing that was up when Remington's steel folding stocks for the 870 were stamped with a similar thing. I would not worry, as the government did not stamp the wording in either case.
