I was at my LGS today and they have a .357 Magnum Ruger GP100 with a 4.2” barrel. 7 round cylinder. It’s brand new.
I asked to look at it and as the guy hands it to me he says “This one is a little different. It’s ‘single action only’ and you would have to get a gunsmith to convert it to double action.”
I asked him if this was Ruger’s way of getting around California’s stupid micro stamp firing pin law and he said he didn’t know.
The price was $1,032. Seems a bit high.
Has anyone heard about these Single Action GP100’s?
