Well, FedEx brought me a present first thing this morning. I sent Teddy Jacobson (www.actionsbyt.com) my Ruger GP100 less than a month ago and here it is - the change is remarkable.

FWIW, I bought this gun on Teddy's suggestion - he did some wonderful work on a P14.45 I have. When I decided to buy a .357, he suggested this based on my parameters.

Ruger GP100 stainless 5" .357 - "Special Edition" (i.e., stainless, 5" barrel ;))

Work done -
Complete Action Job
Wolff Hammer & Trigger springs
Jewel hammer, trigger, rear of cylinder
Contour & polish trigger
Polish, chamfer & number chambers
Recut crown
Color front sight

Trigger before - 15 lbs DA, 4.25 SA
Trigger after - 9 lbs DA, 3 lbs SA

I also ordered a Milt Sparks holster as I... couldn't find a holster to fit a 5" GP. Thats what I told my wife, anyway. NOte those pictures were taken before Teddy did his work, hence no jeweling.

These pictures didn't come out very well, will retake some with my camera tonight.

Handsome is as handsome does.

How does it shoot? (Range report, range report)

Very Sharp Pangris. My 4" Target Grey model is in the market for some slicking up as well. Sent you an email with a few questions. Dying to know how she does at the range.

pangris-

Can you post a photo of the entire gun, out of the holster? I've never seen a five-inch GP-100. Sounds like a nice, well-balanced gun...
