I took a gamble. Wanted better a blade sight for my Ruger Service Six (1st pic) other side is worse, so I bought 3 barrels for a GP100 with the fixed sights on them. (4th pic) The barrels are new and so are the sights.
Looking at replacement dimensions for the GP100 at Gemini customs fiber optic front sights they are SPECIFICATIONS – .38-.357 – 0.125 Width / 0.640″ Length / 0.150″ Height. (2nd pic)
That is a lower than the one I measured on my revolver but the other dimensions are the same. I can certainly adjust my point of aim with a taller sight.
Why did I do this? Well, Service Six and Speed six blade sights are almost impossible to find and I recently found a couple on eBay that are already going for too much. Two days left and they are already 21.50 with a bidding war and they need drilled. (3rd pic) Instead I got 3 barrels that are new, that never even were on a revolver coming for 40 bucks shipped. I think I can recoup my money down the pike.
Hope this works.
