Ruger Service Six questions

I picked up one of the Bud's Austrailian Service Sixes and I have a couple of questions. First, will a GP100 front sight interchange with the Service Six. I need to replace it as someone got after it with a file and reshaped it. I guess Australia has Bubbas too. Next, I have been lurking on Rugerforum but cannot find a way to join, does anyone have a contact there?

Rugerforum.com, or dot net? A contact is not required to join either. Though the .net has changed quite a bit (for the worst) and I no longer am active there. Good luck.

Wow! I just found out (because of your question) that they are not establishing any new members. And they don't have any firm reason, other than (possibly) that their software can't handle it. Tough to believe. Guess that may have something to do with why there is so little new stuff on their forum. (Don't tell anyone I said that!)

Your best bet is to try the auction sites and also put in a Want To Buy (WTB) in parts and accessories.

A front sight is pretty easy to fabricate from flat plate stock. A bit tedious, but nothing requiring any great skills.
