I have a Ruger KP345 that will not feed the last round 60-75% of the time.

It doesn't seem to matter how many round I start with, the last one hangs half-way up the ramp and the slide fails to go into battery.

I order some extra-power wolff mag springs to try, any other suggestions?

It was a relatively inexpensive gun and it really is a dream to shoot otherwise, did Ruger just go cheap on the mags?

See if the mag spring is in the magazine backwards.

The up-flip at the top of the spring should be at the front and laying at about the same angle as the feed lips.

Extra power Wolff springs are not needed, and increase slide friction, which can sometimes do more harm then good.
It should work just fine with a standard Ruger spring.

Does it do it with all the mags or just one? Mag could just need cleaning or the mag spring could need replacing. If it's just one mag and you've cleaned it and it still fails, send it back to Ruger for replacement...if it's all the mags, send them and the pistol back with a letter explaining what happens....Ruger will make it right....of course, do a proper cleaning of the mags and the pistol first, making sure the extractor is clean and in good shape too...;)

It has been all the mags so far, the 2 stock mags that came with the gun and a couple of brand new after-market mags. I already have the springs on the way. I'll take the mags apart and clean them and then try one with the stock spring and one with the wolff and see how it goes.

What kind of aftermarket mags? I think Mec-Gar makes their mags but I'm not 100% on that but other than those, I wouldn't trust any other makers...just use those for the range only and use the factory mags for serious stuff.

Hmm. I'm not sure what to suggest here. My P345 hasn't had any feeding problems at all with the factory mags. Did you buy the gun new , or used ? If it was used, what rcmodel said about backwards springs sounds like a logical thing to try. One thing though , what loads are you using ? have you tried different ammunition ? The last last round of the mag, having the weakest push from the spring.. if the gun is fast stroking, it's technically possible I suppose that could be the cause. One important factor in that case would be.. what recoil spring you're using ? Is it the factory spring or an aftermarket ?

I actually find the factory mags to be very well designed. However , the Pro-Mag brand mags for the p345 ( and pretty much all guns ) are complete garbage. I had a few of them, and I never bother to even try using them now.

I owned a P345 and had to send it back to Ruger for the same problem. A lot of people have had your problem. Pops

I had a similar problem with one of the factory mags when I first got my P345. I took that mag apart, wiped it down with a silicone cloth and put it back together. Haven't had a problem since. I did notice that there was some "junk" in the mag body itself. In my case, a cleaning took care of the issue.
