Ruger LCR in .357 Mag ... :O)

336A, I think you're missing R.W. Dale's point here. I mentioned that a Kimber Solo with a 2.7" barrel loses about 130 fps over a semi auto with a standard 4" barrel. I made the erroneous assumption that an LCR in 9mm with a 1.875" barrel would lose even more velocity but his point is that a 9mm revolver with a 1.875" barrel (if Ruger made an LCR in 9mm) might not exhibit drastic velocity loss since there's actually more barrel in front of the cartridge than there is for a 9mm chambered in a Kimber Solo with a 2.7" barrel. There's effectively about 1.5" of barrel on a Kimber Solo since the 2.7" includes the chamber. Of course, the Solo doesn't have a cylinder gap so it would be interesting to see how that would play out.

Curious of feedback once you shoot with the xs

I shot more than 50 rounds today and the XS sight is a huge upgrade over the factory front sight. I was shooting at a steel popper at 33 yards and was able to make consistent center of mass hits with various loads. It's a lot faster to use than the factory sight too.

I found similar results on my glock 19. I am still debating putting them on my S&W model 60 or if I want to get an lcr. I can't imagine 357 from such a small gun but I would probably get the 357 for the few extra ounces.

I've found that the Golden Saber .357 Mag 125gr BJHP load is no problem with the KLCR. I can't say the same thing about the UMC .357 Mag 125gr JSP or SJHP loads. Those loads aren't much fun to shoot and as the other thread shows, you can get almost equivalent performance with the GS with a lot less recoil and muzzle blast. Step down to .38 Spl +P loads and they're really nice to shoot.

I bet the .38 Spl +P loads are nice to shoot out of the aluminum framed .38 Spl LCR too.
