Ruger LCR sights

According to Bo at XS, the earlier LCRs had front sight mounting posts with varying crosspin hole locations, so that they couldn't make a standard one-sight-fits all LCR sight. So, they made one without a pin hole and had you glue it on with epoxy. Not so good after the tritium dims.

I got one of those and drilled a hole to match my gun and installed it with the original roll pin and no epoxy and it came out great. But it is a real challenge to get the hole right, and you only get one chance at it. A 'smith could certainly do that for you, and I'd recommend that route if you have such a gun.

Bo says that now Ruger has standardized the post/hole location so they are making pin-on sights that fit current guns.

On my LCR-22 I put some orange-red glow paint on the rear sights and covered the top half of the stepped portion of the front sight in bright green glow paint.

It works well. I can see the sights clearly against both a dark background and a light one. It's easy to make elevation adjustments for different ammo or different distances.

Purchased and installed the XS Big Dot Sight (my Ruger KLCR has a "pin" holding the sight on) myself in less than 20 mins. I just love it. Set the dot directly over the target, and it hits home consistently. Go to YouTube and bring up the demo vids, they actually do work like they say.
