Ruger M77 Mark II

Am I stupid if I pass on a NIB Ruger M77 Mark II walnut stock for $325? It is a 270 WSM. Am I correct in thinking that the WSM is going to stay?

Or is it worth spending money on a Hawkeye

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't say stupid, but I wouldn't pass on it! I am a big fan of the Ruger to start with and the 270 WSM is not a bad round!

At a price like that you could probably put a box or two through it and still come out ahead on the sale if you don't like it.

According to the guys at Browning / Winchester R & D, the 270 WSM is probably the most accurate magnum round they have tested. They said it seemed to shoot very well in almost any type of rifle or barrel combination.

Up here in Alaska it would be a good Caribou and Mountain Goat / Dall Sheep caliber.

For $325 it is a steal....
