Take it apart again and put it back together correctly, using the tips above. DON'T beat on the bolt stop, bolt, or anything. You got it together wrong somewhere.

22/45 mk3 slingshot /bolt release/slide stop

ok , i have heard its not a bolt release just a slide stop.if you have an empty mag in the gun and you try to use it as a bolt release ,it is very hard to push down on.with no mag or a loaded mag this is not the case , it is easy to move.as you are now not pushing down against the mag follower spring as well. try it you will see.i have no problem using it as a slide release, even with a 1911 grip mod.

Please all: Listen to the info from "Bullseye" He has guided me through a couple of complete Volquartsen trigger conversions on MKII and MKIII Rugers both 22/45 and Hunter models. This guy is a master at this. Thank you Bullseye over and over. My guns shoot as well an my Hammerli SP20.

Big +1
Any owners of Ruger MK pistols would do themselves a favor to register at Bullseye57's forum and learn the correct procedures to service the pistols!
