Does anyone know where i can find a set of grips for my ruger new model blackhawk? it came with the rosewood grips and i would like to find a set of rubber grips.

When you remove your current grips, what is the writting on the frame. Or if you go to the Ruger website you can search down what year it was made and the will help also.

Ruger has 3 common frame sizes you could have. If it doesn't have a lock under the grip your choices will be 2, If it's not the 50th anniversary model, then you narrow it down to 1, (Unless it was switched by somebody like me)

Although funny, the barrel size doesn't matter. Unless it's the Super Blackhawk with the 7 1/2 or 10 1/2 barrel

I had a real hard time with the tiny grips that come on ruger blackhawks. The houge grips on my blackhawk .357 new model work great. They fit my hands and provide a very positive grip and I think better accuracy.

I've got a real comfy set on my 6.5" .357 Blackhawk. They are NOT traditional, but this is a hunting revolver, so I don't care. They do look a little stupid, I admit. I have a set of Hogues I've not used on it, SIL gave 'em to me. I found these wood ones at a gun show. Don't know details, brand and such, but they were about 15 bucks IIRC. Couldn't turn 'em down for 15 bucks. I didn't know if I'd like 'em, but they feel awesome to me.
