I want to thank everyone for all the useful information you have furnished me concerning the ROA. After going the route of purchasing several Italian imports, I decided that the Ruger Old Army was definitely the only way to go! I found one at a online auction site for $450 plus shipping (box, papers, tool included.) Even though the auction had several days to run, I used the Buy It Now option. I did not intend to let this one get away, they are getting too hard to come by. According to the tracking info, it should arrive shortly and I am anxiously waiting. The ROA is said to be in excellent condition and very clean, the pictures look good. I hope I won't be disappointed? I only wish that Ruger would once again start manufacturing the Old Army and maybe they will, I hope so. Thanks again.

Congrats on your new ROA. I don't think you'll be disappointed. If you take care of it, it is not likely to depreciate so you'll be able to sell it for near what you paid for it. How about some details....blued or SS, 7 1/2 barrel, target model?

When you get a pic taken don't forget to join the Official Ruger Old Army Club.

You won't be disappointed.

You know what would be really cool.

If they manufactured a .36 "Old Navy" on the smaller single six or new vaquero frame.

I'd buy a couple!

Enjoy yer new gun.
