Ruger P-series...Why not?

I have a PT-92 and 24/7 OSS that are more "sexy," but my P95 is a tank that I would and do trust my life with. It's one of the best buys out there hands down.

-Cheers

Have a KP-90 (matte stainless uppers). It is bulkier than a 1911, but it goes Bang! on request every time, and puts the lead where I aim.

What more can you ask from a basic autoloader pistol?

Hmmmmmm (rumaging around in Foggy's Artillery Locker) have KP-90, Single-Six, Vaquero, Blackhawk, MK-II & 10/12. Yeah, Rugers are not Swimsuit Issue Super-Model sexy, but they work, and very well, too.

The ones I've fired have went bang everytime. They're perfectly acceptable firearms. I'd own one, but my wife will scalp me if I buy any more artillery

I have an early P85, 9mm. Shoots just fine. I don't CC. It now has this problem to field strip. After pin is removed and ejector pushed down, it hangs up on removing the slide. Will come apart with some preasure, not much, but it didn't used to do this. Still shoots OK but I don't want to hurt it. Or maybe I already have?

Ruger P Series

I personally have a Ruger P89, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. I've had it since 98 and I've never had so much as a misfire/jam/etc. I can always count on it to fire, and if I ran out of ammo it would make a handy club! :D

Does anyone have any suggestions on a left handed holster for the p-series (p95)... I haven't been able to find any kydex for lefties for this model?

For the same money I've opted for the CZ line of pistols. Nothing wrong with the Rugers though.

Bought a used P345 a few weeks ago. 300 rounds no malfunctions and very accurate. Slim profile makse it an easy conceal carry.

I have long been a fan of THR... but I have noticed that there is rarely a blirp about my beloved ruger p89, or any other p-series for that matter. Why is that?

Because there is nothing to complain about and folks rather P&M than praise.

I just bought a Ruger P94 and put 200 mixed rounds through it the first day. No hiccups. I really like the gun and am considering a P-series in .45.

I was of the "ugly, blocky looking gun" opinion until I came across a P90DC at a price I just couldn't turn down. First round was low left because of the long trigger pretravel. The rest of the mag was one ragged hole in the X-ring. The darned thing started really looking good after that.:D

The only problem I've had with the P90 has been jamming on one of my 185gr lswc reloads. Needed a pinch more powder for that bullet in the P90. After that, no problems.

The P90 won't win the beauty contest. I will give it high marks for comfort, ease of target acquisition, accuracy and reliability. As far as I'm concerned, that's all that counts. I will probably buy another P-series based on the P90 performance.

Well I am glad to see people have similar opinions!

Does anyone here CCW one regularly? If so, In what condition?
