Hey guys I just went to Ruger's web site cause i heard they changed it (i don't like change) I checked out the P-series page and the P89 (metal frame 9mm) is not there! Does anyone know something about this? I have a 15 year old P89 that is a workhorse of my collection and i was thinking of getting another one sometime, I hope I didn't miss my chance.:banghead:

I believe the P 89 has been out of production for awhile now.Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

It wouldn't be hard to find a nice used example though.

It shouldn't be too hard to find a used or even LNIB P89 in the future, and Ruger will service them for years to come.

The only metal-framed autos Ruger still produces are the .45 P90 and the .40 P944.

They discontinued all decocker-only models several years ago, which is a shame since that I preferred those over the manual safety versions.

Just buy a P95. There's not that much difference. I own both and I prefer the P95. You should be able to get a new one for about $350. Seriously dude, all the P models disassemble and reassemble the same way. There just isn't that much difference - excpt that the P95 is better.
