I picked up a Ruger PC40 some time ago and really dont want to sell it but I might want something else a little more than I want that carbine. Its one of the highly sought after models, the original one with the rear ring sight mounted on the tang and not the reciever. Depending on who you asked, it would probably rate 90-95%, I think its closer to the 95% mark but we all have our own opinions. I have seen some of these models go into the $800 range lately on auction sites and other forums.

So heres the million dollar question, whats the carbine alone worth?

Heres some more variables to add to the equation if you want to challenge yourself a little more. I also have a matching P91 Stainless model pistol, one of the good ones with no manual safety / decocker only, that is in fairly good shape around 90% I would imagine. Also I have some of the LEO 11 round mags and the standard 10 round mags.

Second question, whats it all worth?

Thanks in advance

Well, I remember when these were going for $250.....

Now the prices on these and the Marlin carbine have gone through the stratosphere and into Mini 14-AR15 range. You could likely get about $500-$600 for it realistically.

I wish I would have paid $250 for it. My father in law picked up one of the Marlins for $200 many moons ago and its still shooting just as it did the day he got it.

Interesting to learn about the appreciating market price. I am presently holding onto mine; I just need to find a method to improve the stout trigger.

I suspect you will not have trouble finding a buyer. It is one of the small number of carbines that is relatively easy on unmuffed ear drums. My copy is accurate. They are very toughly built!
