Ruger Redhawk ? should I trade it off

I have NEVER sold a pistol whether purchased, traded for or given me that I was EVER later pleased that I sold it. Even where I purchased another pistol, of even like kind, was I happy later. If you must have the Glock then sell something else, non firearm related, to buy the Glock. I would not sell one of my children in order to purchase a firearm, after all we all must have some limitations on our actions or be considered single minded or cold hearted. Hmmmm I do have two....

I should add I do buy firearms to speculate for trade or sale but only long guns or shotguns as I do not get the same feel for them. Oh not the springfields, remingtons my old H&R's.... Wait a moment when did I actually sell a firearm?

Manny,

Some folk agree with you about stockpiling a lot of ammunition for a few calibers.

As we learned during the Banic is commercial ammo was a catch as you can. On the other hand reloaders can make a lot of more ammunition for the cost of commercial stuff.

Besides variety is the spice of life and there is no current political reason to limit yourself on different caliber guns.

Well, adding a new caliber and outfitting to reload it is not a trivial expense. I say that while I keep adding more. Just sayin'. My latest was buying stuff I needed for 30-30 in the midst of hunting season. It took a couple weeks, but I think we're there, but holy smoke, it's a money pit for just about everything but the press, since it is my first rifle caliber.

That then triggered the resolve to outfit for my AR-15, so there we go again.

I also outfit for casting each caliber. Now I'm into gas checks and 1k piece minimums. I might even need to stock another <70 pound shipment of lead ingots. 'Think I'll do that now.:what:

I am keeping the Redhawk! I must be crazy to think of letting it go. It is top quality, and I really don't need the G19. I appreciate all the advice and help. The Redhawk is a keeper. I do reload, and I shoot the 44, I just don't shoot it like I use to.

Good choice. They don't make them anymore.
Glocks are as common as sand in the desert.

You'll be glad you kept that Redhawk.... They're nice.. I sure like mine but I also like my Glock 19. You can always save up for a G19 later if you wish because they are so widely available. I don't see very many Redhawks on the market as opposed to the number of Glocks available. I like 'em both but they're just not the same thing. Plus; 44 Mag is a great reloaders cartridge and versatile as all heck.

Unless I needed the Glock immediatly, I would not trade a Redhawk for it. I have concealed carryed a 5.5" Redhawk. Not easy but it can be done.
