hi guys i have a question about the ruger scout i had herd it un-reliable but did not know if it was true for every gun or just that one any info is great..
I have had mine for a while now and shoot the heck out of it. I have not had a single problem with the rifle or Ruger magazines.
I have had very poor luck with CProducts magazines! They were horrible and the company was even worse when it came to trying to address the problems. I have heard they have worked hard to correct some of the issues they were having, so I hope things are better for them now.
I have been bogged down with work and school, so I haven't shot as much as I should, but needless to say I have put some more rounds through the GSR with no problems.
oh sorry P.B i belive it was on another forum i go on but i am not sure what the problem was but it had something to do with the saftey being screwed up.
My own Gunsite Scout, a left-handed model, works reliably.
All the other 77s that I own (or have owned) also work/worked perfectly.
You are the victim of one more bit of "Internet wisdom". The design is excellent, and has been well-proven over the decades since it was first introduced.
I've researched the GSR extensively as I was looking to acquire one. These are great rifles with typical Ruger reliability from everything I've seen or heard. I am not easy to please, yet this is a rifle I would be happy to own. A very versitile rifle indeed.
