OK, I was just at one of my favorite local FFL's, and he has a stainless 6" barrel(more or less) Ruger Single-Six in used, near-Excellent condition(very minor scuffing on recoil shield from holster/case) for $250.00. The gun comes with the yellow cardboard factory box and papers, but only has the .22LR cylinder.

I've been planning to get a .22 wheelgun for a while, I'm just not sure if this is a fair price for a Single-Six, especially with only the one cylinder. What say you all?

Per Fjestad, 27th edition, page 1592...

Stainless Single Six Convertable, complete, in 98% condition is valued at 255.

That's his opinion on value, your opinion is what matters.

Sure would be nice to have the magnum cylinder too but if that doesn't matter to you, it's not a bad price at all.
I checked the other day and my dealer can order me a brand new one with both cylinders for $379. That's the cheapest I've found. Then you add tax, etc.
