    OK,

I'm a new member here. I'm sure some of you get tired of answering "what year is this," but I expect some of you are glad to help a newcomer out.

    So....... What year is this?

    Smith and Wesson model 17-3 (K-22) Target. Serial # 1K91xxx. 6" barrel.

    TIA

WOW, Thanks for the extremely fast response. I would like to report that 1971 was the year that I was born, but I better go with I graduated HS after 1971.

The S&W will be my first .22 handgun/revolver. Can't wait to try it out. Have seen only good reviews.

    Thanks again.

You are in for a treat. I got six prairie dogs with six shots yesterday. I have to admit they were suicidal, but it was still fun.

    Nice acquisition
