S&W 19-4 and -5

Earlier this year I managed to find a 2-1/2 19-3 RB for $350 at - of all places - Gander Mountain - took it and ran.

Nothing quite like a half price sale. Nice score!

Couple years ago I paid $395 in my LGS for a fairly pristine 19-3 4" without box/papers -- great lockup and timing, excellent original stocks. Last year I paid $500 for a 4" 15-3, unfired, with box, papers, tool, original store receipt and was happy happy happy ...

For a non-P&R 19 with wear and no box, 650 is way too high. For the P&R 19-4 in same condition, still too high.

Get the best one you can, S&W is unable to service some aspects of the 19s now.
Make sure what you get is in good enough shape to hold up for a long time.

It kinda of depends on where you live sometime regional , prices are all over the place , a little steep for a one with holster wear but that's only cosmetic , just follow your gut. What's that saying " I have never paid too much, I have just paid too soon "
