Well I have a 1900s S&W Auto ejector that I would like to disassemble thoroughly clean and re-assemble. Anyone ever done this that can give me some advice or let me know where to find some instructions for such a project? thanx and Happy New Year flanman

S&W .32 Hand Ejector revolver?
Or S&W .35 Auto pistol?

If it is an early Hand Ejector revolver, then buying the Jerry Kuhnhausen S&W revolver service manual would be the best place to start.

Just tearing into an early S&W following internut instructions is probably not a wise move.
Maybe a couple cans of Gun-Scrubber spray cleaner and an air compressor might be safer.

Now why didn't I think of that as I have most of his Colt Manuals. The link is greatly apppreciated and I have added it to my wish list for next credit card cycle.

Thank you and yes it is a 32 Hand Ejector.

"Automatic ejector" or "automatic revolver" was once the common term for what we now usually call a breaktop revolver because the empty cases were automatically ejected when the gun was opened. That is why S&W used the term "hand ejector" for swing out cylinder guns that required cases to be ejected manually. (There have been some "automatic revolvers" that usually managed to combine the worst features of auto pistols and revolvers, but those are not the objects of this discussion.)
