I've been looking for an older Smith & Wesson 3913 in my area. The newer TSW's with the rail don't really appeal to me. I don't know why, I just can't get used to that rail.

I've been told that the 908S is nearly identical to the older 3913's. Does anyone know the differences between the two guns and does anyone have any experiences with both? Thanks!

The older 3913 is a "more square" gun for the lack of a better analogy....maybe a tiny bit smaller but will have to be verified/shot down by someone who has both side by side....
The 908 is a nice little gun but is part of the budget line"..they have plastic sights and such that make them less appealling to me for some reason
Id take the 3913 ..even getting the TSW and making the rail a thing of the past....:D
But you know, I saw a 908 with fiber optics from truglow/hyviz on both ends..it really makes it a nicer gun.
If the prices are close...Id jump on an older 3913 ....we see them for around 300-350 $ for a clean LEA trade in......
Check out gunsamerica.com.....
Shoot well
