Hi folks,
I recently picked up this S&W 3913. I've been searching with no luck trying to find a non-ambi safety for it. There is no S&W part number for one except possibly a Lady Smith that is nickle. Any help out there?
I am not sure why it matters but it is not my gun. And that is why I hate you.
Nice firearm.
I use to have one and that is one of the few firearms that I wish I still had.
Good luck in your search.
I would think the LadySmith, NL or even 908 safety parts would work. There is a great deal of parts interchangeability between models. For instance, you can also, if you dislike the "bobbed" hammer, put a 59XX-series spurred hammer on it.
The gentleman from whom I bought my 3913 had the RH-only safety installed (he also included the ambi safety), so I'm assuming that it came from either a 908s or a 3913NL or 3913LS.
This was designed to meet challenge of Sig pistols like the 225 as such it is among the best defensive 9x19 pistols ever made. How good is it? Many thousands were made throughout it's production period and how many are sold on second-hand market?
