S&w 586-4 2.5"?

Oh yea they are rare.

There was a very limited run of M586 with 2.5" Barrels. Dunno if Lew Horton or uncatalogued dealer specials.

But they are rare.

I remember seeing them in stainless but not blued. Another case of something I should have bought when I first saw one.
 
I had the 686

roundbutt 2 1/2" Lew Horton 20+ years ago and foolishly traded it away. Had the chance to buy two more a few years back for 500 each, let them get away.:banghead:

Ouch. I had a 3" talo with the unfluted cylinder. Traded it off for who knows what. The lesson here is if you have a sweet S&W, keep it. It always seems to be the 357's too.

586 L-comp was also a pretty sweet setup.

Notice the middle L frame. That's a U.S. Customs .357 3 inch revolver. Inside the crane it says 'CS'.
